I am thrilled to announce that my entry #1, Snowy Egret, was accepted for the juried Pequot Library 20th Annual Art Show, called The Story of Art.

The Art Show runs from Oct 14 - 22, 2017.

The Story Behind Your Work: I frequently take bird photographs at Southport Beach in Fairfield, CT. This early Autumn day was one of those "perfect timing" moments. The tide was still, creating a mirror to reflect the Snowy Egret and the Fall hued vegetation in the background. The sun was setting and it created some nice water reflected highlights on the Egret as he remained motionless hunting fish.

I had an 8" x 10" print of my photograph made, and framed it in a glass matted 11" x 14" x 0.75" wood frame. I added picture hanger hardware and wire to the back, for hanging on a wall.

My original blog post of this photograph can be seen here.
